Vision

The emotion that art evokes is deeply intimate, unique to each individual. In an interior, a work of art should resonate gently without imposing itself—engaging in dialogue with the space rather than dominating it. When a room is thoughtfully curated, art finds its place organically, inviting the viewer not just to see, but to feel.

I perceive walls as boundaries. Through large-scale works, I seek to soften or erase those limits and open up the view. Once a space is fully designed, I am often invited to add an additional, almost spiritual layer—one that brings soul and presence. Even a subtle sculpture can enrich the atmosphere with delicate elegance.

Galleries

Kathart Gallery exists in two locations in Knokke. The main gallery, on the Zoutelaan, showcases both my own paintings and those of Belgian artists I believe in and support wholeheartedly. The second, more intimate gallery on the Knokke-Zoute seafront offers a space shaped by the presence of the sea—a powerful and constant source of inspiration for my work.

I carefully curate artists whose vision resonates with mine. Among them: Isabelle Billiouw, Virginie Devin, Beliaert, Isabelle de Bellefroid d’Oudoumont, Giulia Binnici, Jenten, and Béatrice Cols. Through my galleries, I strive to share a sincere, sensitive vision of art.
